International Trade Currency Converter

Convert supplier quotations and purchasing costs using the latest available indicative exchange rates.

Loading the latest available exchange rates…
Indicative rates only: The displayed rates are reference midpoint rates, not guaranteed bank, card, payment-platform, or settlement rates. Actual costs may include a spread, transfer fee, or timing difference.

How to Use the Currency Converter

Enter the amount shown in the supplier’s quotation, select the quotation currency under “From currency,” and choose your purchasing or reporting currency under “To currency.”

For example, if a supplier quotes in US dollars but your internal budget is maintained in euros, select USD as the source currency and EUR as the target currency.

The converter displays:

the indicative converted amount;

the latest available indicative exchange rate;

the reverse exchange rate;

the result after any optional FX cost adjustment;

the rate source and update time.

Use the swap button to reverse the currency pair. The result can also be copied into a quotation review, purchasing worksheet or RFQ record.

Why Exchange Rates Matter in Tape Quotations

Supplier quotations denominated in different currencies cannot be compared directly. Convert all quotations into the same reporting currency before comparing unit price, minimum-order value, freight charges and estimated landed cost.

The commercial difference can change after currency conversion, bank spread, payment-platform charges and the time between quotation and payment. This is especially relevant when comparing quotations with different validity periods, deposit terms or balance-payment dates.

Normalize all quotations into the same reporting currency before comparing roll prices, minimum-order values, freight charges or landed costs.

For a complete import-cost estimate, transfer the applicable rate into the Tape Landed Cost Calculator, which adds freight, insurance, customs duty, tax, clearance, handling and destination delivery.

Using the Optional FX Cost Adjustment

The optional FX cost adjustment adds a percentage-based budgeting allowance to the converted purchasing cost. For example, entering 2% increases the indicative converted amount by 2%.

This is useful when a buyer wants to reserve an approximate allowance for bank spread, payment-platform cost or exchange-rate movement.

It does not reproduce a bank’s actual buy or sell rate, fixed transfer charge, intermediary-bank fee or tiered payment-platform pricing. Enter confirmed bank or payment-provider charges separately when preparing a final landed-cost calculation.

Compare Equivalent Tape Quotations

Currency normalization is only one part of a reliable tape quotation comparison.

If two quotations use different widths or roll lengths, use the Tape Roll Area and Price Calculator to compare price per square metre or square foot.

If technical values are reported in different units, use the Adhesive Tape Unit Converter to normalize thickness, peel adhesion, tensile strength, temperature or dielectric-strength units.

Before treating the prices as directly comparable, review the relevant Tape Datasheets and confirm the backing, adhesive system, total thickness, release liner, roll format, tolerances and applicable test data.

Use the Buying Guides to check application conditions before ordering. Where two tape constructions or materials appear similar, review the Material Comparisons before assuming they provide equivalent performance.

A lower converted price does not prove that two tapes have the same adhesion, heat resistance, tensile strength, electrical properties, residue behaviour or process suitability.

Before You Use the Result

The converter displays the exchange-rate source and update time. If the result is marked as a cached rate, review the timestamp before using it for purchasing decisions. Do not use an older cached rate to confirm an actual payment amount.

The displayed result is not:

a guaranteed bank conversion rate;

a binding payment quotation;

a buy or sell rate;

a currency-trading rate;

a prediction of future exchange rates;

confirmation of the final amount charged by a payment provider.

The final amount may differ because of market movement, bank spread, payment fees, transfer timing or contract terms.

For purchase orders and payments, confirm the applicable rate with your bank or payment provider. For internal budgeting, record the rate source and date alongside the supplier quotation.
